Hampton Hill School Year 4 boys relay team has made Wellington Zone. The team consists of Katuta and Kaia from our class. Well done, lads!

Simone Goes to Picton

Well known Room 7 identity Simone went to Picton last weekend. Simone's stepmum had won a prize which was a trip to Picton. An enjoyable time was had by all.

Mwila Tables Champ Again.

Katuta Mwila was Room 7 tables champ again. He does have tough competition from Sam, Jahde, Phoenix and DJ. These students have honed their basic facts knowledge to such a high standard that they are achieving 100% almost every test. It has got to the stage where I have to time them and give the award to the fastest. Great!

BANANA MAN

Banana Man! He is a mighty super hero. He fights the evil Heavy Mob with his super dooper Banana powers. When he is not Banana Man he is a quiet schoolboy named Eric. When he is Eric he dresses normally but when he is Banana Man he wears a cape and a mask and he is big and strong and muscly. His costume is blue with a bright yellow banana on the chest.

The cast of the play A Whale of a Time in the Pool. This play was performed to Room 3 as part of our Inquiry Unit on Performance. The cast is: Alec. Madison,Jahde, Thomas, Aimee, DJ, Mr Surrich and the Whale (really Simone).

NZSO _ A Review.

On Thursday 26th August, tons of prancing children filled three buses. We were going to te Papa to see the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra as part of our inquiry learning on Performances.

We saw violins, violas and a cello first. Later they were joined by french horns, a clarinet and a double bass.

The musicians intriduced their instruments. It was interesting because I liked how the instruments worked and the music that was played.

I like the part where all the instruments played together.

There was one thing I didn't like and that was that we had to sit on the floor. It was uncomfortable.

I liked the piece of music that was played at the end of the performance. It was really peaceful.

Overall, a terrific opportunity to be introduced to different instruments of the orchestra.

My Pirate

Captain Blackbeard has ten guns and his teeth are greesy. He has black boots. His hair is black and his breath smells. his men fought hard some were stil alive and some died in the war. But Captain Blackbeard had his head chopped off.

Pirate Bart is a very mean bossy pirate.He has long black hair and always keeps it knotted.Pirate Bart has disguting crooked teeth and when you smell his breath you can smell rotten eggs.He wears a big silver belt and a black and white top that is shredded and black pants.On his head he wears a big Captain hat.Every day when he see's a Pirate ship,his ship attacks their ship and steals all the precious gold and jewels.One day his head got chopped of.Pirate Bart is a very mean bossy deadly pirate.

A Place about Vung Tau

The town of Vung tau is lovely.There is a beautiful beach with sparling white sand.There are thousands of people around the world who want to swim in the awesome sea.When you are sick of the sun you can go to the shop and buy some yummy ice cream.In Vung Tau there are gift shops where you buy amazing stuff.You can eat yummy seafood like lobster with vegatable and anything you want to eat lobster with and drink red or white wine and beer.Vung Tau have nice hotel and motel.The hotel is created like you are outside not inside your room,the room is like you are in the ocean with blue sparling dolphins and friendly whales and more friendly colourful sea animals.The service will alway clean your room they do your bed.The service is very nice.Vung Tau is alway my favourite beach.
